This letter is regards to the property located at 3030 N. Cajun Lane and 3100 N. Centrepoint Way, near the southwest
corner of N. Eagle Road and E. Ustick Road, in the NE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Section 5, Township 3N, Range 1E.
I am a homeowner in the existing Jackson Square community and I am OPPOSED to the proposal to build the apartment
homes on the aforementioned property site for the e following reasons:
1. Traffic: There is already considerable traffic at the intersection of Centrepoint Way and Ustick during peak hours.
Oftentimes the traffic is backed up on Ustick from Eagle Road to Centrepoint already. The addition of 295
dwelling units will not only exponentially increase the traffic, but also causes safety concerns regarding
emergency vehicles. Currently there are only two ways in and out of our neighborhood.
2. Our neighborhood is a self-contained safe environment. It’s quiet and peaceful. The addition of so many new
people will change the atmosphere dramatically. There will be an increase in traffic of both cars and pedestrians.
I’m assuming more children will be utilizing our private trail and small park. This is unacceptable since we pay for
these in our HOA dues.
3. The proposed 4 story structure will create a sense of being walled into a more urban environment. I’ve only lived
here 3 years, and never would have purchased my house had I known these type of changes were coming. I was
told it was commercial land at the time.
4. If this proposal is approved, I can only assume it will adversely affect the property values of the homes in our
neighborhood. So I ask you to consider this: would you fight against this yourself if it was your neighborhood?
Please consider us, the current homeowners when making this critical decision.
