Subject:Urgent feedback on Timber Creek Recycling
External Sender - Please use caution with links or attachments.
Dear Meridian City Council,
I am writing to strongly oppose the proposed 2024 amendment to the Timber Creek Recycling Facility agreement. As a
south Meridian resident of 5529 S Pinland Ave, I live near Timber Creek and I am deeply concerned about the changes
that would allow Timber Creek to continue operations beyond the current ten-year limit. This extension, along with the
expansion of acceptable materials, the addition of on-site retail activities, and the removal of the truck load limit, poses
significant risks to our community through increased environmental concerns, traffic, and odors. I urge the City Council
to enforce the original ten-year operational limit and reject any amendments that would extend Timber Creek's
operations beyond this period. For further discussion, I am available at(208) 891-5108. Thank you for your prompt
attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Jonas Champlain
