RE: Barsya Subdivision AZ 06-025 and PP 06..024
Annexation and Preliminary Plat
Request for Reconsideration of Decision
Honorable Mayor and City Council:
On October 1 ih. we are scheduled to be heard on our request for Reconsideration of the City
Council's decision for denial on the Baraya Subdivision on July 18.2006. The motion for
denial appeared to be based on a decision to wait for the results of the Ten Mile Interchange
Specific Area Plan. Since that time, we have been an active participant as a major
stakeholder in the Specific Area Plan and have made significant revisions to our proposed
plat based on the input we have received. As such. we are requesting reconsideration and. if
approved, a reopening of the public hearings and a remand of the subdivision applications to
the next available Planning Commission bearing date. We then hope to come back to City
Council later this year with the Planning Commission's endorsement of our new proposal.
We appreciate your ,attention to this request for reconsideration and we appreciate the
opportunity to work with staff and the City's consultant on the Ten Mile Interchange Specific
Area Plan since our last request for reconsideration in early August.
