Subject:Timber creek concerns
External Sender - Please use caution with links or attachments.
In regards to the upcoming timber creek request to change current CUP agreement I am strongly opposed to this
expansion.
The site continues to operate as a heavy industrial operation in a clearly zoned residential area at the corner of Locust
Grove and Columbia.
The main concerns I would like to raise are:
-heavy industry operations in residential zoning
-air quality being impacted with large heavy equipment ruining long hours every day omitting high levels of diesel
exhaust impacting air quality
-heavy amount of dust coming from materials being processed. These are not all natural materials. They are grinding
building materials with potentially hazardous materials involved. This is an air quality concern that has a negative
impact to humans breathing the air
-grinding asphalt and cement. Again hazardous materials impacting air quality.
-concrete and asphalt required specific permits from DEQ. I have searched their site and find no permits for timber
creek. I have been following up with DEQ and ICL to confirm.
-high impact from semi truck traffic on roads in the area that are not engineered for this type of traffic.
-Smell due to chemicals being placed on materials that occur on a regular basis. Not sure what chemicals are being used
but again the air quality in this area is directly impacted.
Government is in place to support and protect the people, not to force big industrial businesses into residential areas
where it can be harmful to humans. Please stop this operation.
I will be reaching out to other agencies and representatives to highlight my concerns.
