Subject: Urgent Feedback on Timber Creek Recycling Facility Amendment
Dear Meridian City Council,
I am writing to strongly oppose the proposed 2024 amendment to the Timber Creek Recycling Facility
agreement. As a Pinnacle Community resident of Pinnacle, 6658 S. Zenith Ave Meridian 83642. I live
near Timber Creek and I am deeply concerned about the changes that would allow Timber Creek to
continue operations beyond the original ten-year limit. This extension, along with the expansion of
acceptable materials, the addition of on-site retail activities, and the removal of the truck load limit,
poses significant risks to our community through increased environmental concerns, traffic, and odors. I
urge the City Council to enforce the original ten-year operational limit and reject any amendments that
would extend Timber Creek's operations beyond this period. For further discussion, I am available at
253-217-7197. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
Sincerely, Tara Bishop- Ernst
