Subject:Urgent Feedback on Timber Creek Recycling Facility Amendment
External Sender - Please use caution with links or attachments.
Dear Meridian City Council,
We are writing to strongly oppose the proposed 2024 amendment to the Timber Creek
Recycling Facility agreement. As Lavender Heights residents of 2391 E Valensole St., we live
near Timber Creek and are deeply concerned about the changes that would allow Timber
Creek to continue operations beyond the original ten-year limit. This extension, along with
the expansion of acceptable materials, the addition of on-site retail activities, and the
removal of the truck load limit, poses significant risks to our community through increased
environmental concerns, traffic, and odors. We urge the City Council to enforce the original
ten-year operational limit and reject any amendments that would extend Timber Creek's
operations beyond this period. For further discussion, we are available at 775.443.6444.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Kendall and Dylan Keller
