DEQ Tier II Site Application Approval
Dear Mr. Murgoitio:
This letter is in response to your Tier II Non-Municipal Facility Site Application (Application)for the Timber
Creek Recycling facility located in Meridian,Ada County, Idaho(Facility). The Application was originally
submitted to the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality(DEQ)on June 17,2019. DEQ requested additional
information and revisions through August 21, 2019. The Application was deemed complete and ready for public
comment on August 28, 2019. The 30-day public comment period ended on October 7,2019; DEQ provided and
requested Timber Creek address public comments as detailed in our October 17, 2019 letter. Timber Creek
provided a response to public comments on November 11,2019.
After reviewing the Application and the response to public comments, DEQ finds the Facility appears to comply
with the general siting requirements identified in IDAPA 58.01.06.012.01 and facility-specific requirements in
IDAPA 58.01.06.012.09. DEQ hereby approves the Tier II Non-Municipal Site Approval Application for the
Timber Creek Recycling Facility.
In addition, you must submit an operations plan to the Central District Health Department for review and approval
in accordance with IDAPA 58.01.06.012.04. Please contact Lori Badigian at(208)327-8517 if you have any
