HomeMy WebLinkAbout1994-12-02 MERIDIAN PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION DECEMBER 2, 1994 The Special meeting of the Meridian Planning and Zoning Commission was called to order by Chairman Jim Johnson at 5:30 P.M.: MEMBERS PRESENT: Charlie Rountree, Tim Hepper: MEMBERS ABSENT: Jim Shearer, Moe Alidjani: OTHERS PRESENT: Will Berg, Wayne Crookston, Shari Stiles, Mike Wardle, Brandon Berg: Johnson: This is a special meeting of the Meridian Planning and Zoning Commission for Brighton Corporation Conditional Use Permit. We are here to consider and review the amended findings of fact and conclusions of law for Ashford Greens Subdivision. Is there any discussion, are there any corrections or any questions regarding the findings of fact as prepared by our City Attorney? Rountree: I just have a question in the way of an update. The annexation and the subdivision has been approved correct for the R-4. Crookston: I don't think so. Rountree: But it has been passed onto the City Council? Crookston: I have not looked at that for some time but I believe that is true. Johnson: It hasn't been approved, it was tabled. What would you like to do with these amended findings of fact our City Attorney spent so much time on? Rountree: Mr. Chairman, I move the Meridian Planning and Zoning Commission hereby adopts and approves these findings of fact and conclusions. Hepper: Second Johnson: It has been moved and seconded that we approve the findings of fact and conclusions of law as prepared by the City Attorney, this is a roll call vote. ROLL CALL VOTE: Hepper - Yea, Rountree - Yea, Shearer - Absent, Alidjani - Absent Johnson - Yea MOTION CARRIED: All Yea Johnson: Any recommendation you wish to pass on? Rountree: Mr. Chairman, I move that the Meridian Planning and Zoning Commission hereby recommends that this matter, the concept of a planned development residential should be approved under the conditions stated above in the findings of fact and conclusions of law. That recommended approval is of the concept without general approval of any specifics that any ultimate approval should be subject to all City ordinances, specifically including design review and plat approval under the procedures of the subdivision and development ordinance. Hepper: Second Johnson: It has been moved and seconded that we pass a recommendation as written, all those in favor? Opposed? MOTION CARRIED: All Yea Johnson: Is there anything else to bring before the Commission? Rountree: Just for your information Mr. Chairman, we did complete all the items last special workshop. We were there until 11:30. Johnson: I feel bad about not coming back. Crookston: It is to be noted that he could have come back. Johnson: I could have come back, as a matter of fact I went back to the office and worked. I figured you guys had wound that up about 9:30. Rountree: We tried. Johnson: Once I leave things just slow down. Rountree: We got to page 3. Johnson: You were running the meeting, let's adjourn this thing. Rountree: I move we adjourn. Hepper: Second Johnson: Moved and seconded that we adjourn, all those in favor? Opposed? MOTION CARRIED: All Yea MEETING ADJOURNED AT 5:34 P.M.
