Regarding: Proposed apartments at Franklin and Ten Mile Hello! I’m writing to express concern over the proposal to re-zone the northeast corner of Franklin and Ten Mile. Please do not change this area to more high-density housing. It feels like everywhere we look, more and more apartment buildings are going up. It is wreaking havoc on our schools and roads. And also, they just are an eye-sore! Ten mile is a major gateway into our city. I hate to think that the interchange is full of apartments as the first impression to our wonderful place to live. They make us look and feel crowded. We need smart growth. Re-zoning all of our beaitiful land to high density housing will have long-term effects on all of us. Overpopulation in schools, infrastructure, and in general. Please slow down building apartments. Please don’t just approve the next complex (including this one!) because a builder proposes one. It’s a money grab for them, the city does get some revenue… but it affects the residents that want to call Meridian home forever. It overcrowds us in many unfavorable ways. Thank you for listening.
