2. General Updates on Projects: Transit Shelter Projects, Traffic Boxes, Chateau
Park Public Art, Fuller Park, Unsolicited Public Art Proposal Guide/Call, Linder
Overpass Project, Public Art Plan
Cassandra Schiffler updated the committee on current projects:
We are still waiting on transit shelter glass to be fixed, Chateau park final design
has been approved by stake holders, Fuller park planning still on hold, the decision
has been made that we are not accepting unsolicited proposals at this time so staff
will not move forward on the proposal guide, and proposals are due for Linder
overpass on July 1st.
3. Updates and Discuss: 2024 Traffic Box Call to Artists - Marketing, Timeline,Jury
Members
Item 1.
Two community members have been found to help jury the traffic boxes, and Jay
Smith also volunteered to be a jury member.
Committee members were asked to continue to get the word out about traffic box
applications (which are due July 5th).
4. Discuss: Public Art Temporary Mural Project at the September 14, 2024
Community Art Party
A project proposal was given by Jay Smith. (See attachment).The committee was
enthusiastic about this project. The committee hopes that the panels might be
displayed publicly somewhere after the event,and Staff will work to find potential
options for temporary display after the event.The design for the community mural
portion will be developed by Paxton Hergenroeder.

Meridian Community Art Party
Live Mural Proposal
We will have 4 8'x8' mural panels built into a cube and primed white,set up at Kleiner Park for artists to
perform a live painting.
We will have 3 local artists painting live for guests and attendees to watch, ask questions and interact
with.
The artists will be:
Walter Gerald: IG: @waltercgerald
Lorelle Rau: IG: @lorellerau
Macy Ratzesberger: IG: @growing_graffiti
The 4th panel will be a "coloring book" style mural which will be designed by local artist James Lloyd and
sketched by myself in a way that children and families attending the event can try their hand at painting
along, which will be taught and led by myself.
Each mural artist will be paid a $500 stipend for their time and live painting on site. This is under the
assumption that each artist will provide each of their paints and materials needed to paint for the 4 hour
event.
Artist Payment: $1500 ($500 each)
Materials and lumber: $475.35
Administrative Costs: $1000 (paid to myself)
(Administrative costs include: Planning, building, storage and transportation of the mural panels,
materials including brushes and trays (provided by me)for the community mural, organizational tasks,
labor and cleanup, and leading the community mural.)
Total Cost: $2975.35

The Mural walls will be arranged in a cube shape. Each wall will be supported by a frame of 2x2x8
lumber, and held together with 3.5" hinges.This will allow easy set up and take down of the walls, and
ease of transport.
Finished Panels can also be saved and displayed for public viewing if desired.
