Philip, Thank you for reaching out and sharing your thoughts and concerns about the proposed project. Your email has been received by the office and we will make sure to share it with the Mayor and Council. While there is currently no formal application of this project requiring a Council public hearing, the Mayor and Council are generally cautioned on individual conversations outside of any public forum, as there is a chance that an application for this can come before the Council in the future. That terminology and process can be confusing sometimes, so I am happy to chat with you if you have additional questions and/or get you to the planning staff if need be. All of that said, I appreciate your comments will pass them along. I have also copied the City Clerk, and the public comments distribution list so that they can add your comments and email to the public record, and I have also copied the City Planning Manager so this record can also be added to the project file. Again, thank you for reaching out. Dave Miles | Chief of Staff City of Meridian | Mayor’s Office 33 E. From: Philip Hurst Email: Philipjoneshurst@gmail.com Phone: Question/Comment: I recently heard that McDonald’s has submitted paperwork to build at Firenze Plaza. This kind of restaurant does not belong here. I live in the Tuscany neighborhood and McDonalds does not fit the beautiful and peaceful vibe that our neighborhood embodies. Please do not allow it to be built.
