Hi Jill,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your thoughts and concerns about the proposed project. Your
email has been received by the office and we will make sure to share it with the Mayor and
Council. While there is currently no formal application of this project requiring a Council public hearing,
the Mayor and Council are generally cautioned on individual conversations outside of any public forum,
as there is a chance that an application for this can come before the Council in the future. That
terminology and process can be confusing sometimes, so I am happy to chat with you if you have
additional questions and/or get you to the planning staff if need be.
All of that said, I appreciate your comments about your desire of local stores, and will pass that along
too. I have also copied the City Clerk, Chris Johnson, so that he can add your comments and email to the
public record, and I have also copied the City Planning Manager so this record can also be added to the
project file.
Again, thank you for reaching out.

Question/Comment: This is in regards to the new Firenze plaza and that McDonald’s may be building by
this new Albertsons. I would not like this built in the area. There are several McDonald’s restaurants that
are less than 10 min from our beautiful Tuscany neighborhood. The smell alone that McDonald’s puts off
will permeate our air as we enjoy the fresh air. I live very close to this shopping area just a few houses
away from this new shopping area. There are so many kids who enjoy a walk to Albertsons and the
traffic and chaos that McDonald’s brings will put these kids as well as the residents of our neighborhood
who often walk could cause many problems. I would really like to see something that isn’t a chain
restaurant and find something local to add to our neighborhood not take away from the beauty of it.
Thanks for listening!
