This project isn’t schedule for a hearing yet, but I anticipate a hearing date sometime in July. If you live in the area, specifically within 500 feet of the property boundary, you should receive a postcard stating the date and time for each public hearing. Further, the developer is required to post the property with 4’ X 4’ public hearing signs along all public streets including stub streets to the property. You also have the ability the track the project in the City’s database by using the link below. I have also provided a few snippets to help navigate our system. https://citizenportal.meridiancity.org/CitizenAccess/Default.aspx 1. Once in the portal click on the search tab and enter District in the project name box and click search button: 2. Expand the record info tab and click on processing status: 1 3. The green check mark represents the task is complete. You can see in the snippet that the Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council tasks have not been started. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me. Sincerely, Bill Parsons, AICP | Current Planning Supervisor City of Meridian | Community Development Dept. 33 E. I greatly appreciate your response Mr. Simison. Mr. Parsons, would you happen to know when these public hearings will take place, or when I should be on the lookout for them to be added to the city council's schedule? Hearing the devastating news of this "New Village" coming to the western side of Meridian. I am a homeowner in this area. When did we have a say, and what can be done to stop this catastrophe to our beautiful neighborhood? The Gateway in Nampa sits empty only miles from this area. What is the point? I've also emailed the state representatives for my district and was advised to contact the mayor's office because my district no longer has a city council member. Please ask more constituents in this area how they feel. Maybe drastic changes like these should be made more public.
