State Street Eagle, ID 83616 DATE: 23 Jan 2024 RE: Farmstone Crossing Silos Dear David: This letter is a follow up to my original structural letter dated 19 May 2023. In my previous letter, I stated that the existing silos at Farmstone Crossing would be acceptable to leave in place and be used as monument signs. I understand that there has been discussion of possibly moving the silos to another location and reconstructing the silos to the original condition. Structurally moving the silos would require, in my opinion, the construction of a structurally reinforced masonry wall inside the silos and the attachment of the original concrete staves (walls) to the new construction to resist the Code required lateral forces. Leaving the structures as is, is acceptable because the structures have proven stable as originally built, but moving them would require a Code acceptable design to resist the Code prescribed lateral forces. The new construction would be time consuming and be cost prohibitive. If you have any questions or comments regarding this matter, please call me at (208) 855-5082. Sincerely, IU4-4-t ;2 Brian D.
