RE: Pebblebrook Subdivision AZ, PP H2204-0005
Dear Council Members,
I write in support of the approval of the Pebblebrook Subdivision and the foregoing applications. My
wife and I own the residence at 461 W. Broderick, Meridian, Idaho. Our home is to the west, across the
street from the Pebblebrook property. This is our view of it from our family room:

We welcome the future families who will live in these homes to our community and, more importantly,
to our neighborhood. Many of our neighbors have raised unreasonable and frankly unacceptable
objections to this application. Professionally, I frequently hear people complain, "What about the
comprehensive plan," yet when an application is presented that is in accordance with the
comprehensive plan,those same voices object.
Density should never be reduced on any application that is in accordance with the comprehensive plan
and the relevant zoning designation, as doing so undermines all prior planning decisions relating to a
municipality's infrastructure development. Once density is surrendered, it will be generations before
future redevelopment may restore it.
A vibrant community has housing of all sizes, all types, all price points, and all designs, for all. Diverse
housing stock benefits the larger community and ensures its stability. In this instance, public objections
as to the density, design, type of buildings, and builder are not founded in legitimate concerns but
rather fear without any basis in reality.
The City Council should approve this application as proposed.
Sincerely,
i
Geoffrey M. Wardle
