April 16, 2024 Asher Steering Committee
I. Call to Order / Roll Call
MPD Cpl. Jon Salisbury called the meeting to order.
Present were:
Ada County Sheriff’s Office: Sgt Matt Navest
Ada County Paramedics: Cameo Rogers
Boise Police: Lt. Kevin Wittmuss (for Lt. Doug Ericsson)
Boise Fire: DC Aaron Hummel
Eagle Fire: Capt. Tyler Assmus
Garden City Police: Sgt. Leon Dennis
Meridian Police: Cpl. Jon Salisbury
Meridian Fire: DC JD Hendricks
Kuna Fire: James Trumble (for Chief TJ Lawrence)
Star-Middleton Fire: DC Dave Sparks
Idaho State Police: Lt. Jason Horst
II. Adoption of Agenda
Assmus moved to adopt the agenda. Sparks seconded the motion. There was no discussion. Vote
in favor of the motion was unanimous.
III. Old Business
There was no old business.
IV. New Business
1. Delegation and Acceptance of Committee Members
Salisbury asked if there was any objection to the current list. There were no objections; the current
list was adopted by consensus.
2. Election of Chair, Vice-Chair, and Secretary
Salisbury nominated himself to serve as Chair. Hummel nominated himself to serve as Vice Chair.
Hendrix nominated himself to serve as Secretary. All candidates were unopposed. Dennis moved
to elect the candidates by acclimation. Rodgers seconded the motion. There was no discussion.
Vote in favor of the motion was unanimous.
VI. Executive Session per Idaho Code § 74-206(1)(d)
Hendrix moved that the Committee go into executive session. Wittmuss seconded the motion.
There was no discussion. The Committee convened in executive session. Wittmuss moved to
leave executive session. Dennis seconded the motion. There was no discussion. Vote in favor of
the motion was unanimous.
VII. ASHER Plan updates
Sparks moved to adopt the ASHER Plan and updates. Hendrix seconded the motion. There was
no discussion. Vote in favor of the motion was unanimous.
VIII. Adjourn
Dennis moved to adjourn the meeting. Hummel seconded the motion. There was no discussion.
Vote in favor of the motion was unanimous.
