PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT / NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to the
Ordinances of the City of Meridian and the Laws of the State of Idaho, that the City Council
of the City of Meridian will hold a public hearing at the Meridian City Hall, 33 East Idaho
Avenue, Meridian, Idaho, at the hour of 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5th, 2006 for
the purpose of reviewing and considering the City of Meridian Impact Fee Advisory
Committee's recommendation for a Comprehensive Plan Amendment to amend the text
of the Comprehensive Plan to update the Ten Year Capital Improvements Plan for Parks,
Police, and Fire capital improvement projects. The Meridian Planning and Zoning
Commission held a public hearing on this matter and has forwarded to the City Council a
recommendation of approval. The City Council will hold a combined public hearing on the

-~---/-Capital -Improvememts Plan and amendments to the impact fee ordinance, including a
proposed increase to the Parks impact fee to be assessed on building permits for residential
construction, and proposed new impact fees for Fire and Police capital improvements to be
assessed on building permits for residential and non-residential construction.
More particular descriptions of the above Capital Improvement Plans, the Impact
Fee Ordinance, and supporting materials are on file at the Office of the City Clerk, 33
East Idaho Avenue, Meridian, Idaho and are available for inspection during regular
business hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Copies of the above materials are available upon request. Any and all interested
persons shall be heard at said public hearing, and the public is welcome and invited to
submit testimony. Oral testimony may be limited to three (3) minutes per person. Written
materials may be submitted seven (7) days prior to the above hearing date so that all
interested parties may examine them prior to the hearing. All materials presented at public
meetings shall become property of the City of Meridian. Anyone desiring accommodation
for disabilities related to documents and/or hearings, please contact the City Clerk's Office

proportionate share of new publiC facilities is borne by new developments which have been deemed to create an
increased demand for parks, police, and fire services.

This Fee Schedule shall be in effect no sooner than 30 days after the adoption of the revised Ordinance and
shall be effective until December 31'1,2007. On January 1, 2008 and on January 1'1 of each year thereafter in
which an Impact Fee is in effect, the amount of the Impact Fee shall, unless otherwise waived by Resolution of
the City Council, be automatically adjusted to account for inflation increases in the cost of providing police, fire,
and parks and recreation Public Facilities to serve new growth and development
The following materials are on file in the City Clerk's office and are available for inspection during regular
business hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.: The text of the proposed revisions to the
Impact Fee Ordinance; the proposed revisions to the Capital Improvements Plan; and the proposed land use
