CIVIL ENGINEERINGIPLANNINGICADD PRESSURE IRRIGATION PUMP STATION REPORT FOR: Artisan Victory Market Subdivision NAL FNG PROJECT NO: C2021-027 G\STERF Q 10/16/2023 ' DATE: 10-16-2023 N1 88 2 9F OF DEVELOPER: FV Baron Properties /N S. 1401 171h St, Ste 700 Denver, CO 80202 1119 E. State Street, Suite 210 ♦ Eagle, Idaho 83616 ♦ Tel.: 208-938-0013 www.baileyengineers.com Summary Pump Station Design Point: 120 gpm @ 160 TDH Total Available Water Rights:82 gpm Water Supply The property is serviced off of the McDonald Lateral (Headgate#417), located south of the site. The development has an independent delivery. Nampa & Meridian Irr District Assessment Protect Miners Inches Assessment 1078J 0.63 Assessment 1078K 3.13 Assessment 1078M 1.56 Assessment 1078N 0.72 Assessment 1078P 1.15 Assessment 1078Q 1.88 Total: 9.07 Miners Inches=0.181 cfs=82 gpm The gravity irrigation water enters the development site in the southwest corner and continues north, draining to a piped discharge in Bancroft Square Subdivision to the north. Water Demand The typical calculated demand within the Boise Project Board of Control is 0.33 inches of water per day over the sum of the irrigable acreage. The approximate maximum irrigable area is 5.75 acres, resulting in a constant max demand of approx 36.2 gpm. Irrigable Area: 250349 sf = 5.747 acres Demand Rate: 0.33 in/day Conversion 12 in/ft Conversion 24 hrs/day Conversion 60 min/hr Conversion 60 sec/min Demand Rate: 0.0797 cfs Demand Rate: 36.22 1 gpm This number has been noted as a 'maximum' as it is the total acreage subtract the hardscape acreage. The site will utilize a variety of other surface treatments such as artificial turf and rock cobble in the landscape plan that will not be consumptive users of irrigation water and will lessen the demand on the system. Delivery to Pumping Plant Irrigation water is diverted to the pump station's wet well in the screen box. Check boards restrict flow bypass of the screen and allow water to flow to the wet well. When delivery water flow exceeds pump station consumption the water can overflow the boards. Screen Box The concrete screen box contains a Clemons CW-400 screen. The screen requires 20 gpm to operate; this demand has been added to that of the pump station. The screen is not a consumptive use of water; it can be recycled back into the screen box.The screen is located in the screen box and feeds directly to the pump station. Wet Well The concrete wet well will have a diameter of 48".The depth will be 14.0 feet from top of wet well to top of floor(to be verified by pump supplier),with 12.0 feet of total design water depth. Manhole steps will be provided for maintenance inside the wet well. Pumps A pump with a capacity of 120 gpm at 160 TDH has been designed for this pump station. Plans show one (1) submersible turbine pump but a vertical turbine is acceptable if desired by developer. A jockey pump will be provided if determined to be necessary by the pump supplier. Hydraulic Analysis The developer has elected to use a 'design-build' system provided by the landscapers for this development so this civil engineer has not completed a hydraulic analysis of the entire pressure system. The 4" discharge line from the pump station is sized appropriately to minimize head loss and keep an appropriate velocity upon discharge. Using Q=vA gpm the velocity at the outlet is 3.03 ft/s, well below the typical maximum velocity of 5 ft/s.
