To Whom it May Concern:
I am writing in support of the Pathways School in Meridian. My son has attended Pathways in
Nampa for a year. He has ADHD and high functioning autism and was finding a traditional
school environment challenging. He was often bored with the long class periods and "pointless"
assignments. He was overwhelmed with the busy work and severely unmotivated. We were
concerned he would not graduate.
Since enrolling in Pathways, Braxton has the autonomy he needs to determine his own
schedule. He is able to work on assignments at his own pace and take breaks during work
periods as needed. He's able to take English in an in-person class, which is a subject he
dislikes and needs more motivation and help in. He's been on several school trips, which have
been amazing opportunities for him to travel to new places and expand his worldview.
The staff at Pathways has been excellent to work with. They are super supportive and
accepting and meet the kids where they are at. We are confident that Braxton will graduate high
school, which was in question before he enrolled.
Pathways has been an excellent alternative to traditional learning and I highly recommend the
new school in Meridian.
