Sonya,
The City of Meridian has requested feedback regarding the proposed annexation with zoning
of L-O (Limited Office) and a conditional use permit to allow for a private charter school(High
School aged students) on 0.90-acres located at 965 E Ustick Road, within the City's Area of
City Impact.
Land Use
The Future Land Use Map of the Meridian Comprehensive Plan, as adopted by Ada County,
designates the site as Medium Density Residential, which is primarily intended for single-
family homes at densities of three to eight dwelling units per acre. As schools are intended to
serve, and are compatible with residential areas,the proposed application is in compliance with
the Comprehensive Plan.
Comprehensive Plan Goals and Policies
As the proposal is for a charter school,which is in close proximity to residential neighborhoods,
it is supported by Goal 3.06.00: Ensure a variety and balance of land uses within the Area of
City Impact. As well as Goal 2.03.01:Jointly plan and site schools and subdivisions to ensure
mutual benefits, neighborhood identity, and community health.
