VAC -06-010).
SiTMMARY DESCRIPTION OF APPLICANT'S REQUEST
The Applicant, Hightower LLC, requests approval to vacate the portion of Jericho Road located north of
�V. kJ�ghtower Drive and south of State Highway 20/26 (Chinden Blvd.).
A variance was previously approved for Hightower Subdivision that allowed access to/from the
subdivision via State Highway 20/26. The location of the new roadway would align with Castlebury
Avenue on the north side of SH 20/26, approximately at the '/z mile mark. ITD supported this variance
and deemed that it would be in the best interest of transportation needs. A condition of approval was
placed on the variance at the suggestion of ACHD that as part of the Development Agreement for this
property, "The owner/developer consents to the vacation of Jericho Road, and agrees to submit an
application for Vacation or Exchange of Right-of-way for Jericho Road to the City of Meridian and to
ACHD prior to or concurrent with submittal of the final plat application."
The developer has complied with the above -noted condition of approval of the variance and submitted the
vacation request along with the final plat application.

A. Location of Jericho Road and portion proposed to be vacated:
Jericho Road is located perpendicular to the south side of State Highway 20/26, approximately'/ mile
west of N. Locust Grove Road. The portion of Jericho Road proposed to be vacated is north of W.
Hightower Drive and south of State Highway 20/26, in the NE % of Section 30, TAN., R.1E.
