ADA. COUNTY, IDr1HC1, OWNED BY THE CITY OF MER~UTAN, ADA COUNTY, T'DAHO.
The matter of the sale of a strip of lend 8 feet wide and 330 feet long in tha
SEl~ o~ Section 12, Township 3 North, Range 1 West, Boise Meridian, in Ada County,
Idaho, owned by the City of Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, was presented to the Council
by the Mayor for consideration. After full and careful considez~ation, Councilman
W~ D. Skiver introduced and moved the adoption of the following Resolution of the
C3.ty of , eridian, Ada County, Idabq, to-wit.:

# WHEREAS The City of Meridian is the owner of the following described real
~~ estate, situate, lying and being in the said City of Meridian, to••wit:
ggg~,n~ing at the N®rthwest corner of the SFN- of Section 12, Township 3 North,
Range 1 West, $oise Meridian, in Ada County, Idaho; thence South along the West
1ir:e pf said SEt&, 65p feet to a point, the 'real place of beginning; thenoe East
parallel to t$e North Line of said SEy~, X30 feet to a point; thence South 8 feet
to a point= thence West 330 feet to the Wee~t line of said SEA; thence North 8 feet
to the real place of beginning; and,
'WHEREAS, the said real estate is not used as a public park, playground or
publ3o bu~.lding site, nqr ia, the same n®eded for municipal purposes by the City of
meridian; and
WHEREAS, said lot has value and in the opinion of the City Council can be sold
at ~i,s time and should lqe sold without further delay, because it is idle lead no
longer used by the City,j and
W~3EREAS, it is for the beat interests of the City of Meridian and the iuhabi~
tante th®reof, and the City Council deems it for the good of the City of Meridian
that ®aid tract be sold at the best prig obtainable; and
WHEREAS, THE City of Meridian has legal authority under the above mentioned
cireumstanoes and under the provisionB of Section 50-1()Q8 Idaho Code, to sell and
con~rey the tract above described after first publishing notice of intention to
sell said property once each week far two successive weeks in a local newspaper of
general circulation in the City of Meridian;
NOW, THEREFORE, ~3E IT RESQLVED HY THE~MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTX, IDAHO:-
1, That the alpova-described tract Awned by the City of Meridian be offered
for sale to the highest bidder for cash lawful money of the United States all
bids to b® in writing and sealed and filed-with the City Clerk of the City of
Meridian, on or before JunT e~3rd_. ~ 1966.
2. All bids made and filed-shall be accompanied by the full amount bid.
3. The Mayor and City Council reserve the right to re~eet any and all bids.
4. That upon the acceptance by the City Council of any bidder's bid for the
puarchase of said tract, and upon the full payment of the purchase price thereof,
the City Council of the City of Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, by tied through Its
Mayor , duly authenticated by its Clark, is hereby authorized, ordered and direct-
ed to convey to any bidder or purchasers ell the rights title and interest of the
said City of Meridian, in and to the tract so purchased, by quitclaim deed.
5.,That the City Clerk of the City of Meridian s31~all cause to be published
3,n tkte Meridian News-Times, a newspaper published and having general circulation
in Meridian, Idaho, a Notice of Intention to Se11 said Tract, which Notice shall

with the provisions of said statute, the City Council of the said City of Meridian
hereby offers for sale, upon the terms and conditions hereinafter stated, and sub-
ject to acceptance and approval by the said City Council, all the right, title and
interest of the City of Meridian, Ada County, Idaho of, in and to that certain
lot, piece or parcel of real property, not used as a public park, playground, or
public building sit®, nor needed for municipal purposes by the said City of
Meridian, situate, lying and being in Ada County, Idaho, particularly described as
follows, to-wit;
Beginning at the Northwest Corner of the SEA of Section 12, Township 3 North,.
Range 1 West, Boise Meridian, in Ada .County, Idahp; thence South along the West
line of said SEyv 652 feet to a point, the real place of beginning; thence East

(2) All bids filed shall be accompanied by the full amount of bid. (3) The City
Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids. (4) This Notice is a
Notice of Intention to sell or offer of sale, and not a sale of said real property.
(,5) Upon the acceptance of any bid or bids for the purchase of said tract, and payer
meat of the amount bid, a Deed of conveyance in terms of this Notice will be made,
executed and delivered to any purchaser by the proper officers of the City Council
of the City of'Meridian.

The motion for the adoption of said resolution was seconded by Councilman
Marvin Bodine .
UPON the question of the .adoption of the resolution being put to the Council,

There being four "Yeas" cast in favor of the adoption of the resolution and no "Nays!'
