Traffic is already horrendous. Please don't add to it.
More ugly apartment buildings are an aesthetic blight that only exacerbate the problems posed by our car-
dependent city_ For more sustainable solutions, please visit strongtowns_org
Meridian does not need these Home in this area_
This intersection is a nightmarefrorn 4te b_ 1 cant even imaginetrying to put more cars there.
Let's not make this a catch-up game#ter roads and schools. Both are already highly stressed._.make the
developers improve BEFORE striking the community with this damage_
No more buiiding. We do not have the infrastructure.

I am reaching out to bring your attention to the potential hazards presented by the proposed Tanner Creek Subdivision(H-2022-0048)and 1-84
and Meridian CPAM(H-2021-0099)projects,seeking your support to address pressing concerns that could significantly impact our daily lives.
The Ada County Highway District's refusal to consider modification proposals for the Waltman and Meridian Intersection, coupled with the
expected surge of over 13,000 additional vehicles daily from the Tanner Creek and Hawkins developments, paints a daunting picture. The
existing congestion and failing service levels at the intersection underscore the urgent need for a comprehensive and sustainable solution to
tackle the impending traffic challenges.
Equally troubling is the potential strain on our educational system. The West Ada County District's growth projections estimate 2,172 new
homes within the next 1 to 3 years, bringing approximately 1,735 students to our area.Meridian Middle School faces an overwhelming
challenge, with projections exceeding capacity by 213 students. The Tanner Creek Subdivision, introducing an additional 328 students,
exacerbates the strain on our schools. These figures highlight a looming crisis in our educational resources that requires immediate attention.
Moreover, the proposed developments diverge from the City of Meridian's Comprehensive Plan and the Future Land Use Map(FLUM),intended
for mixed-use community development. The envisioned Hawkins and Tanner Creek projects fails to align with the comprehensive plan and
FLUM,jeopardizing the character, quality of life, and sustainability of our community. As conscientious citizens, let us unite in urging a denial of
these developments to secure a future that respects our shared values, safeguards the well-being of our children, and fosters a vibrant,mixed-
use community.

The city of Meridian cannot handle this type of development. It's going to cause residents to hate driving and living in Meridian. The Tanner Creek
development will over fill capacity at Peregrine Elementary School. If these developments pass, the Meridian City Council will be responsible for
the worst intersection and traffic issues in Idaho for years to come.

Same for the application for variance at 4135 W.Cherry Lane,Meridian. Please deny the request for higher density housing. All this does is put
more money in the pockets of the developer at the expense of quality of life for the eventual tenants and neighbors due to increased traffic, noise
and other consequences of jamming people together in small spaces. Ten Mile is jammed with traffic and roars with noise. Cherry is getting
worse,too.

existing congestion and failing service levels at the intersection underscore the urgent need for a comprehensive and sustainable solution to
tackle the impending traffic challenges.

Traffic, lack of road ways to help with traffic, overcrowding at our already crowded schools. The lack of study's done to help support something
this big going into our communities. Impact studies need to be done and impact fees need to be much higher especially with a company like
Corey Barton Homes. The congestion it will create around the grocery stores and the exits and entrances to the freeway.

Tanner Creek H-2022-0048 and Hawkins H-2021 -0099
Applications

Tanner Creek H-2022-0048 and Hawkins H-2021 -0099
Applications

I'm not against growth, however,I am opposed to this type of housing that stacks people together. We need more single family housing, not high
rise apartments.Meridian is asking for trouble when you put that many people together and expect them to be good neighbors. We don't need
more high traffic over crowding our roads. We don't need more crime, petty theft and overcrowded schools and shops. Please!deny this and
reconsider growth.

Developers need to pay for infrastructure improvements that are required to provide services caused by their land development. They can charge
their customers for those costs. That is the ONLY WAY development pays for itself. I mean everything not just the lousy small percentage the
state now limits them to.Until you guys get with the program we are all going to suffer the continued deterioration of our towns. I'm not anti
growth I am just not willing to continue to pay for other people's choices that ruin my lifestyle.

Tanner Creek H-2022-0048 and Hawkins H-2021 -0099
Applications

Our city and community can not manage our current population issues. As a native Idahoan and longtime meridian resident I wish our planning
and zoning would think more about its current residents and less on money.

There's already too much congestion in these areas. Before any more development, the developers who wish to develop need to pay for and fix
the infrastructure in order to accommodate so many new people, cars, etc.

Tanner Creek H-2022-0048 and Hawkins H-2021 -0099
Applications

Tanner Creek H-2022-0048 and Hawkins H-2021 -0099
Applications

We have enough apartments in Meridian! Enough. More crime than before.Traffic is a nightmare in this major corridor. Slow the growth until
infrastructure catches up.
