Subject:Meridian OZ - CUP H2023-0048 PD Comments
Good morning,
I have no new comments regarding this latest rendition of Meridian OZ. Below are my previous comments:
Meridian PD still suggests right in/right out ONLY on Locust Grove, but would require cross access with the land
to the south.
Incorporating traffic calming options to slow traffic for tenant/pedestrian safety in the north/south internal
roadway.
All units shall be clearly marked with addresses and unit numbers visible day or night for emergency response.
The applicant shall place a way-finding map at the entrance that is visible day or night.
All qualified open space provided in the development, to include all amenities, must be in an open area in order
to allow for natural observation opportunities. Pathways and landscaping should not create hiding spots or blind
spots that would promote criminal opportunities.
The Meridian Police Department will support all Community Development Staff recommendations, Traffic
Impact Studies from ITD and or ACHD to improve access, roadways, intersections, pathways and sidewalks
before the project if fully completed.
Thank you,
Shawn Harper, Lieutenant
