HomeMy WebLinkAboutMemo from Caleb Hood Memo RECEIVED AUG 0 3 2006 City Of Meridian City Clerk Office To: Mayor de Weerd and City Council From: Caleb Hood, Current Planning Manager CC: Anna Canning, Bill Nary, Will Berg, Project File Date: August 3, 2006 Re: Sundance Subdivision No.5 Vacation (V AC-06-004) August 8, 2006 City Council Agenda Item On June 27th, the Meridian City Council voted to continue V AC-06-004, to August 8, 2006 so the applicant could obtain relinquishment letters from the public utility providers in this area. As of August 3, 2006, the applicant did not have relinquishment letters from Idaho Power or Cable One. The applicant is hopefully to have the final relinquishment letters some time next week (see attached e-mail from the applicant). However, until all utilities have provided letters, staff recommends that the Council not make a final action on the subject vacation application. Staff recommends that the public hearing for V AC-06-004 be re-opened and continued to the August 15th City Council meeting. (E-mail from Applicant on August 3, 2006) We currently have relinquishments from Qwest, Intermountain Gas, & NMIRR. I have left a message for Idaho Power and CableOne but have had no response as of today. I am hoping that we can get the letters back next week, but I cannot really say for sure until I speak with Idaho Power and CableOne. Sincerely Jay Hovde E.LT.
