Per our phone discussion, Boise Project will not allow a pedestrian only crossing added to this project as it
interferes with our opera?on and maintenance of the canal and poses a huge safety risk to all involved.

Tom,
Please find a vicinity map and preliminary plat drawing a?ached for your reference. We are proposing a project
called Windrow subdivision. ACHD is requiring that we provide a vehicular crossing of the Calkins lateral in the southeast
corner of the project. Due to the need for a secondary emergency access for fire and emergency crews we are also
proposing a smaller crossing in the north of the project. These two crossings are a project requirement and we will work
with the irriga?on district and the Project Board of Control to meet all of your requirements for design and construc?on.
The city of meridian has requested that we add an addi?onal pedestrian bridge crossing along the lateral between the
other two crossings. In my telephone conversa?on wit you you indicated that the Project Board of Control would not
allow another crossing. Can you please confirm this by email so that I can provide it to the City for their records?
