Describe what is being requested? Per the amended Memorandum of Agreement between the City,MDC,and Meridian Caddis,LLC,the City intends to bid the Hunter Lateral relocation project,award the bid, manage the project,and make payments directly to the contractor;however,Meridian Caddis will reimburse the City for all project expenses pursuant to a Funding Agreement, which is currently being negotiated.The City will not proceed with the award of the bid for this project until the Funding Agreement is executed. 2. Why was this budget request not submitted during the current fiscal year budget cycle? The project was not finalized during the normal budget development cycle,so no funds were allocated at that time. 3. What is the explanation for not submitting this budget request during the next fiscal year budget c cle? This project is ready to move forward this winter.Waiting for the normal budget cycle for this one-time expense would not provide the necessary upgrades in a timely manner. This project was not submitted during the normal budget cycle because the project had not yet been finalized. 4.Describe the proposed method of funding? If funding is split between Funds(i.e. General,Enterprise,Grant),please include the percentage split. List the amounts and sources of anticipated additional revenue that will result from approval of this request. General Fund Balance initially.Under the Funding Agreement,however,the developer will reimburse the the project costs.The City will not award the construction contract for the project until the Funding Agreement has been executed.
