The Idaho Transportation Department ( ITD ) appreciates the opportunity to provide comments regarding the planned
Extended Stay Hotel located at 2700 N Eagle Rd, Meridian , Idaho . Please see the below comments :
1 . This project abuts State Highway SH -55 .
2 . Direct access to the State Highway system has been requested with this development via a shared approach for
the Sessions Parkway Subdivision .
3 . Based on ITD ' s Sessions Parkway Subdivision TIS response letter from April 26, 2023 , the following mitigations
are required prior to development buildout :
a . N Eagle Rd ( SH - 55 )
i . Developer shall follow all guidelines set forth in the Apartments Traffic Striping Conceptual Plan ,
ITD acceptance dated Dec . 4, 2019 .
ii . Developer shall install a northbound right-turn lane for a new approach , 520 ft . in length .
4 . Idaho Code 40 - 1910 does not allow advertising within the right- of-way of any State highway .
5 . The Idaho Administrative Procedures Act ( IDAPA) 39 . 03 . 60 governs advertising along the State highway
system . The applicant may contact Justin Pond , Program Manager for ITD' s Headquarters Right- of-Way Section
at ( 208 ) 334- 8832 for more information .
ITD reserves the right to make further comments upon review of any submitted documentation .
