1. ALL EARTHWORK INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO REMEDIATION, OVER EXCAVATION, REMOVAL OF
UNSUITABLE SOILS, BUILDING PAD PREPARATION, SLOPE KEYING, CLEARING, GRUBBING, EXCAVATION,
EMBANKMENT, AND BACKFILL, SHALL BE COMPLETED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SPECIFICATIONS AND
REQUIREMENTS INCLUDED IN THE PROJECT GEOTECHNICAL REPORT UNDER THE DIRECTION AND
SUPERVISION OF THE OWNER'S GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER OF RECORD. CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN A
COPY OF THE GEOTECHNICAL REPORT FROM THE OWNER PRIOR TO BID. ALL EARTHWORK SHALL BE
OVERSEEN, INSPECTED, TESTED, AND APPROVED BY THE OWNER'S GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER OF RECORD.
2. CONTRACTOR SHALL MAINTAIN ALL EXISTING DRAINAGE FACILITIES WITHIN THE CONSTRUCTION AREA
UNTIL TEMPORARY AND/OR PERMANENT DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS ARE IN PLACE AN FUNCTIONING.
3. IF REQUIRED, CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING A SHORT TERM ACTIVITY EXEMPTION
PERMIT FROM THE IDAHO DIVISION OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY IDEQ). CONTACT THE SOUTHWEST
REGIONAL IDEQ OFFICE (208.373.0557). CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT TO IDEQ A DEWATERING PLAN WHICH
OUTLINES THE LOCATION OF PROPOSED BMP'S AND THE SEQUENCING OF THE DEWATERING ACTIVITIES.
ALL CONSTRUCTION WATER GENERATED FROM EXCAVATION SHALL FREE OF SEDIMENT SAND DEBRIS
BEFORE IT LEAVES THE SITE.
4. TESTING SHALL BE PERFORMED PER THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE PROJECT GEOTECHNICAL REPORT
AND RECOMMENDATIONS PROVIDED BY THE OWNER'S GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER OF RECORD.
5. THE SUBGRADE WITHIN THE ROAD RIGHT OF WAYS SHALL STRIPPED, COMPACTED, INSPECTED, AND PROOF
ROLLED WITH A HEAVY RUBBER TIRED FULL LOADED TANDEM AXLE TRUCK/TRAILER, OR EQUIVALENT,
PRIOR TO PLACEMENT OF FILL MATERIAL FILL MATERIAL WITHIN THE ROADWAY AREAS SHALL BE
COMPACTED TO NOT LESS THAN 95% OF THE MAXIMUM DRY DENSITY OF THE SOIL PER ASTM D1557.
6. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH THE OWNER TO DETERMINE WHICH TREES WITHIN THE
PROJECT LIMIT OR TO REMAIN, AND WHICH TREES ARE TO BE REMOVED. REMOVE TREES AS DIRECTED BY
OWNER.
7. TOPSOIL AND OTHER STOCKPILE AREAS, TO BE COORDINATED BETWEEN CONTRACTOR AND OWNER
BEFORE THE START OF CONSTRUCTION.
8. NO GRADING WORK SHALL OCCUR UNTIL THE OWNER HAS FILED A NOTICE OF INTENT FOR CONSTRUCTION
ACTIVITY WITH THE IDAHO DIVISION OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY.
9. ALL MATERIAL FURNISHED ON, OR FOR, THE PROJECT MUST MEET THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF THE
APPROVING AGENCIES, OR AS SET FORTH HEREIN, WHICHEVER IS MORE RESTRICTIVE. CONTRACTORS
MUST FURNISH PROOF THAT ALL MATERIALS INSTALLED ON THIS PROJECT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS AT
THE REQUEST OF AGENCY AND OR THE ENGINEER.
10. ALL PEDESTRIAN RAMPS SHALL COMPLY WITH ADA STANDARDS. THE LONGITUDINAL SLOPE OF
PEDESTRIAN RAMPS SHALL NOT BE GREATER THAN 12:1; THE CROSS SLOPE MEASURED PERPENDICULAR
TO TRAVEL SHALL NOT BE GREATER THAN 2.0% - NO TOLERANCE IS ALLOWED ABOVE THE MAX
LONGITUDINAL SLOPE, OR CROSS SLOPE. NON COMPLYING WORK SHALL BE REMOVED AND REPLACED AT
CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE.
11. ALL PEDESTRIAN ROUTES, AND SIDEWALKS SHALL COMPLY WITH ADA STANDARDS. THE LONGITUDINAL
SLOPE OF PEDESTRIAN ROUTES (EXCLUDING CURB RAMPS) SHALL NOT BE GREATER THAN 5.0%
MEASURED IN THE DIRECTION OF TRAVEL; THE CROSS SLOPE MEASURED PERPENDICULAR TO THE
DIRECTION OF TRAVEL SHALL NOT BE GREATER THAN 2.0% - NO TOLERANCE IS ALLOWED ABOVE THE MAX.
LONGITUDINAL SLOPE OR CROSS SLOPES. NON COMPLYING WORK SHALL BE REMOVED AND REPLACED AT
CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE.
12. PROVIDE 1-FOOT WIDE FLAT LANDING IN LANDSCAPE AREAS ADJACENT TO ALL SIDEWALKS.
