Tammy Petsche would like to rezone her property at 1508 N Meridian Rd from
Commercial (C-C Zoning district) to Old Town (OT).
Rezoning to OT would be in line with the City of Meridian's future vision plan. OT
supports and encourages dedicated Work/Live units and flexible space to
accommodate low intensity commercial uses. Live/Work spaces preserve, enhance the
character, identity and quality of Meridian's diverse neighborhoods while improving
overall quality of life. OT zoning encourages redevelopment that invigorates an area
while also respecting the character of adjacent neighborhoods. I appreciate that OT
will sustain the long term economic well being of the city and it's citizens through
redevelopment and revitalization efforts. My goal is to enclose the existing garage and
eventually build a Live/Work structure behind my existing dwelling. I want to be apart
of Meridian's vibrant community and enjoy living,working,walking and supporting
near by retail shops and restaurants.
