To Whom it May Concern,
My Name is Judy Larsen I live at 331 E. State Ave
Meridian, ID 836411 am writing this letter regarding the
Proposed 4' Street Bookstore. My list of concerns are as
follows; it's going to be located 16 ft from my permanent
Residence. Where I live as a retiree alongside my husband who
is also retired. I do not want all the extra noise that comes along
with an open mic night. I also do not want all the extra traffic
and cars on nights of the proposed bookstores events. There is
already limited parking to begin with for the residences who live
in this area. Additionally, there were rumors that there were
going to be food trucks that were going to be brought in for
some of these events. The serving of wine and alcohol is also a
concern. Along with the other concerns of their only being one
bathroom in the dwelling. And the idea of the backyard being
able to bold "50" people at one time. There is also concern of
the extra traffic regarding the alleyway and the use of it by the
neighborhood children. There was a reference to this being the
next "Hyde Park". This is not the place for a Hyde Park type of
development in the middle of a mainly elderly community. This
is old town meridian, and it should stay as such. We aren't
against growth by any means, we are against this being
something that needs to be developed in our backyard. There is
plenty of room for development of these types of establishments
more towards town. Not in a retiree/neighborhood community.
There is also the idca of if this establishment "fails" and this is
already re-zoned, what will be the next thing that could
potentially be in this location. I have attached Photos for
references as well. This is not something that enhances our
duality of life, this something that greatly affects our day to day_
living.
Sincerely,
Judith and Ronald Larsen

Children at play in the Alleyway where they live, this is their
play area. Increased traffic will only cause more worry and
restrict their play.
