July 7, 2023 City of Meridian Stacy Hersh, Associate Planner 33 E Broadway Ave Meridian, ID 83642 shersh@meridiancity.org Re: PAW Subdivision, Case No. FP-2022-0034 Greetings Stacy, Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) appreciates this opportunity to provide comments regarding the Final Plat of PAW Subdivision located at the northwest corner of N Linder Road and Ustick Road, Meridian, Idaho. The application is for one (1) commercial lot,two (2)vertically integrated building lots, 33 single-family residential lots, and 10 common lots on approximately 4.69 acres. Please see the following ITD comments: 1. This project does not abut the State Highway system. 2. This development will gain access to the State Highway system at the US-20/26 (Chinden Boulevard) and Linder Road intersection. 3. The City is reminded that the US-20/26 corridor is already congested. This project will increase the number of vehicle trips in the corridor.As the City continues to add additional trips to the corridor through development, the congestion will worsen until the roadway system is ultimately overloaded and fails.
