To whom it may concern,
I am a long time meridian resident, and I have recently heard that a bookstore would like to be part of the community
on Pine Street. I live just up the road, and I think that the bookstore would be a beautiful addition to such a wonderful
growing community. I also feel as though we could have some sort of compromise and not make the business a busy
business that would impede on the houses that surround it, but a business that follows decorum, has valued that show a
sense of responsibility to its neighbors, and is courteous to all. Since I know that the business owner is also a person who
lives, in the same neighborhood, I suspect that this would be upheld as part of their values. Furthermore, I think
Meridian needs more variety as far as businesses - something that gives a place for culture, art, and a spot for
community to develop and grow. When I have traveled to other countries, there are always a wonderful cafe that has
local music, food, books, and art. I believe this is how we can share who we are with others, and who others are with us.
