To the City Clerk, I live in Paramount which connects to Orchard Park. We understand that growth is inevitable, but we would please advise to approve responsible growth. The information I have says that 140 multi-family units have already been approved. There is a great need for this type housing. But now a 5-story development with 500+ apartments is being proposed in addition to the 140. I have children at Paramount Elementary and Heritage and the classroom sizes are already too big. Please evaluate and deny this request seeing as it would almost certainly overcrowd the schools. If you are going to go against our wishes and approve apartments there should be funding allocated for the schools to properly adjust to the influx - but since the bond didn't go through, and the city isn't directly responsible for school funding, it seems you should be restrained in approving a project that you know will put strain on all the surrounding schools. In addition, please don't approve it at five stories high. There are no other buildings around at that height and it will not look good. We know things are being built up, and we want to have services that people need, but please only approve something if the schools can support the children who will live there, and in a design manner that has a pleasing and contiguous design. Thank you for your consideration. Alexis Tunnell 1
