Annexation and Preliminary Plat
Request for Reconsideration of Decision
Honorable Mayor and City Council:
Weare hereby requesting Reconsideration of the City Council's decision for denial on the
Baraya Subdivision on July 18, 2006. The motion for denial appeared to be based on a lack
of a sewer easement and a decision to wait for the results of the Ten Mile Interchange
Specific Area Plan. We are requesting reconsideration and, ifapprovt:u, a rt:upt:ning and
continuance of Public Hearings on AZ 06-025 and PP 06-024 until the October 17th, 2006
City Council hearing.
The basis for our request is the recently granted Black Cat trunk sewer easement and new
information from staff regarding the anticipated time required to finalize our area of the Ten
Mile Interchage Specific Area Plan. According to Anna Canning, the Area Plan will only
take 90 days instead of the 18 months discussed in the staff report for our area of the Plan.
We appreciate your attention to this request for reconsideration and we:: luuk furward to
working with staff and the City's consultant on the Area Plan prior to meeting again in
October.
