Outstanding Issues before Council: Applicant proposes to remove the roadway islands in response to
Condition 9: "No manholes or water valves shall be allowed to be placed in the landscape islands. If
sewer or water mains are to be routed underneath them, then no trees will be allowed in the islands. The
applicant shall coordinate with the Planning Department to meet this condition while still complying with
all City Ordinance regarding landscaping." The applicant's response was to remove the landscape island.
THIS WOULD NOT BE CONSISTENT WITH THE APPROVED PRELIMINARY PLAT. Staff
recommends that the accommodate the PW condition by installing additional manholes and valves.
