Broadway Ave. #102 Meridian, Idaho 83642 Dear Mr. Freckleton: I am deeply concerned about the proposed construction of seven townhomes on the lot at 200 Rosalyn Dr in Meridian. I have lived in the Larkspur subdivision since 2007, and I have seen troubling changes through the years. Particularly traffic going too fast for the curved entrance (Blackspur Way). Non-neighborhood traffic from the coffee shop and car repair already make our little neighborhood dangerous for anyone walking across the street. Dense construction has the potential to even more disrupt our community. Townhomes could easily become rental properties, which definitely changes the makeup of the subdivision. I am told that the lot is currently zoned for R8, allowing up to eight buildings to be constructed on the property. However, I know that the Meridian Future Land Use map plans to rezone it, and other lots in the area, to a low-density residential district (R2) that accurately reflects the identity of the existing residential neighborhood. As such, the planned construction would also be out of character, being far from what future city planning envisions for the neighborhood. Along with others in the neighborhood, I urge you to rezone the lot to R2, as the Meridian Future Zoning plan calls for, as soon as possible to mitigate these concerns and ensure that any future development of this property is in keeping with the existing character of our community. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, Robin Lee Hatcher 2236 S Blackspur Way Meridian, ID 83642
