We are wntmg to express some concerns about the development of the" ",--
Napoli subdivision presently under consideration for approval. We have a
home on a large lot which shares about 80 feet of common border with
Napoli.
We are strong believers in property rights and as such acknowledge the
right of the owners of that ground to develop it as long as it does not
negatively and unfairly impact the value and atmosphere of the other
properties nearby.
Each of the property owners in the neighborhood, including those
proposing Napoli, bought their land with the intent to distance
themselves from the close-packed houses of the common subdivision.
We believe that the compromise made in the development of the
Kingsbridge subdivision nearby, represents a fair trade off between the
large farm type lots bordering and the desire to create subdivisions for
new homes.
We would support a plan for the Napoli subdivision which included about
eighteen larger lots rather than the presently proposed twenty-nine. It
makes little sense to hold Kingsbridge to larger lots and then moving
away from the city center, allow tiny lots without the consent of the
neighbors.
We urge you to reject the annexation and plat as presently proposed. If
necessary to support this, the comprehensive plan for the area should be
altered to require about two lots per acre.
We believe this would be more fair and satisfying to the neighborhood as
well as attracting more upscale homes.
Thank you for your consideration.
Best regards,
Don and Marie Morgan
