Subject: NAPOLI SUBDIVISION COUNCIL HEARING 7-18-06
RECEIVED
JUL 1 3 2006
City Of Meridian
City Clerk Office
Dear Mayor and City Council:
Earlier we sent a letter in opposition to Napoli sub. proposal. We would like to add these coments:
We were told recently by the Dartmore sub. h.o.a. that Great Sky developers, which recently purchased
the land on Dartmore's north border, has met with the neighborhood. The outcome was that the petimeter lots will
be 20,000 square feet. This was accepted by all to be a fair way to transition between larger county parcels and
urban density.
Our home lies on the Eastern border of Napoli. The lots proposed are very narrow. We fear that this will
result in our Western hotizon being obliterated by an enormous wall of siding. Narrow lots encourage building
tight up to the side lot-line setback, which as you know, is a razor thin 5 feet. Small lots also means small
garages and this results in junk-filled back yards.
Please hold Napoli to the standards you required of Kingsbridge and the transition volunteered by
Great Sky. We feel that Metidian is a much more attractive city with the quality homes on larger sites that has
thus far prevailed in our neighborhood on the East side of Eagle road. On the West side, Tuscany is providing
higher density, where it is a much better fit.
Thank you,
Philip and Judy DeAngell
