I am writing to express strong opposition to yet another rental housing project on or near Eagle Road/Victory
Roads. Primary concerns include:
1) Traffic congestion – Eagle and Victory Roads are already congested areterials, especially during rush hours.
2) Property values – as evidenced by the large, single family rental home project near Standing Timber/E Sicily
Drive; rental properties turn into eyesores in short order. This above project is marketed as “attainable”
housing. What does that mean for the existing neighborhoods?
3) Fit for existing businesses along Eagle Road – other close by real estate in the area is leaning
commercial/retail. In my opinion, more development of businesses would be supported by the existing
residential population. Restaurants, retail and office space would be a better fit.
4) Availability of housing in the area – significant apartment housing is currently available or already being built
within one or two miles of this development. It does not appear that more single family rental housing is
needed.
Please include my concerns in your evaluation of the advisability of moving forward with this project. This project is not
needed at this time and it is not supported by the people who have already invested in property adjacent to Eagle and
Victory roads. Developers see big money in rental property right now. I believe we are at the height of that demand
and over-building is occurring. It’s time to slow it down.
