Highlights of Proposed Development: vacation of an irrigation easement along west boundary of
Lot 2, Block 7 Gemtone Center No. The easement was presumed to facilitate the placement of a
pressurized irrigation system. Settler's Irrigation District maintains and operates the pressure
irrigation system for the lots within Gemtone Center No. 5 that lie north of Pine Avenue.
However, the irrigation system was not extended to the subject lot.
Other: The applicant believes that vacation will better facilitate development of the subject lot.
Elevations: No
Staff Recommendation: was for continuance. However, we have received word from Settler's that they
have no facilities in the easement and no obj ections to the vacation. We now recommend approval.
Vacations do not have required findings. Therefore, Council may take action on this item tonight.
