Dear Ms. Stiles,
I would like to submit this as my OBJECTION to the permit for Family Day Care for
Sherry Martin at 2215 E. Mackay Ct., Meridian, ID 83642.
There is already a business being run out of that address with at least three employees
coming to the house and leaving their cars parked there all day. Sometimes as long as
twelve hours a day and occasionally on Saturdays, 1 believe that an additiona15 cars,
twice a day we add too much congestion, One household on a residential street is not a
place for two businesses that would add up to 13 cars a daily.

3.17 "PerSQn" shall mean any individual, partnership, corporalion or other legal enlily,
3.18 "Plat" shall mean any subdivision pial covering any portion of the Property as record<!d al
the office of the County Recorder, Ada County, Idaho, as the same may be amend<!d by duly recorded
amendments thereof.
3.19 "Prooertv" shall mean tho,e portion. of the Properly described on Exhibit A attached
he~to and incorporated herem by Ihis reference, including each 101, parcel and portion thereof and interest
therein, incl uding all water rights associated with or appurtenanllo such propetty.
3.20 "Ridenbaueh Canal" shall mean that cenam real property in which Ihe Nampa and
Meridian Irrigation District holds an interest, which reai property is identified on the Plat.
3.21 "Reeular Assessment" shall mean the portion of the cost of maintaining, improving,
repairing, managing and operating Ihe Common Areas and all Improvements located thereon, and the other
costs of an Associalion which is 10 be levied against the Property of and paid by each Owner to the
Associalion, pursuant to the terms hereof or the terms of this Declaration or a Supplemental Dedaration.
3.22 .Seec;al Assessment" shall mean the portion of the costs of the capital improvements or
replacP.ments, equipmenl purchases and replacements or shortages in Resu1af Assessments which are
authorized and to be paid by each Owner 10 the Associalion pursuantlo tne provisions of this Declaration or
a Supplemental Declaration.
3.23 "SuDDlemental Declaration" shall mean any supplemental de<;faration including addilional
covenants, conditions and restrictions that might be adopted with respeclto any portion of the PrQ~.
3.24 "Sherbrooke Hollows Common Area" shall mean all real property in which the
Associalion holds an interest or which is held or maintained, permanently or temporarily, for the common
use, enjoyment and benefit of the enlire Sherbrooke Hollows Subdivision and each Owner therein, which
reai property is legally described in Exhibit a attached hereto and made a part hereof. Sherbrooke Hollows
Common Area may be established (rom lime to time by Grantor on any portion of the Property by descrioing
it on a plat, by granting or re5efVing it in a deed or olher instrument, or by designating it pursuant 10 tnis
Declaration or any Supplemental Oeclaration. Sherbrool;e Hollows Common Area may include easement
and/or license rights.
3.25 "Sherbrooke Hollows Subdivision" shall mean the Property.

at 2215 E. Mackay Ct., Meridian, ID 83642, we would like to submit this OBJECT/ONto the Permit for
a Family Day Care,
First and Itlost Illlportant, is tllltt Mr. & Mrs. Martin already t1JJl a business out of this same
address. Mr. Martin is a Painting Contractor and keeps his equipment, supplies and work trucks atthis
address. Also, they have three (3) employees that meet at the house daily leaving their personal cars
parked on the street in front of the Martin's during the day while they are working (which we believe is
against Homeowners Association CC&R's). Sometimes these cars are there as long as 12 hours a day.
One car already parks in front ofthe mailbox and one of the other =s has been there without moving for
at least the past three weeks. We believe that with 5 additional cars cOllling and going twice each day
would add congestion to their house that is already busy in the mornings and evenings. The three cars
that are already parked there during the day would leave no option but for the possible 5 additional cars a
day toha\le to park in front of other neighborhood houses. If the dayeare parents were to be dropping off
children before the workers arrive, this would make the workers cars have to be parked in front of
someone else's house and be left there all day.
Also, the Martin's have three children of their own, with the possibility of five additional children,
making eight children in the house and outside would add noise and the possibility of many children
playing in the street. Our neighborhood is an even combination of fumilies and retired individuals and is,
thus far, a very quiet neighborhood.
We believe that two business being operated out of one private residence would be too much due to the
trafJk congestion that would be added to our Court. A residential home is not a place to
operate two businesses with trajJic coming and going aU day. Thank you for your
consideration in this matter.

Administrator of the City of Meridian an application for an Accessory Use Permit
for the operation of a Family Day Care for five or fewer children out of her home
at 2215 E. MacKay Court, Meridian, Idaho. Comments, either for or against, said
application must be filed with the Zoning Administrator within fifteen (15) days
after the initial publication of this notice and shall be addressed to Shari Stiles,
Zoning Administrator, City of Meridian, 660 E. Watertower Ln., Suite #202,
Meridian, Idaho. If there are objections filed within the time allowed. the Planning
and Zoning Commission shall hold a public hearing on the application, after
proper notice, and may grant or deny the application after making and adopting
Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law.
