Please reject the apartments. As it currently is my kids cannot safely cross the street on San Vito. The speed limit needs
lowered. Safety is my number one concern as there is a school in the neighborhood and already enough traffic. Basically
you are going to double the amount of traffic to one street when we already have an extremely unsafe intersection. I
can tell you daily I take my kids to school and wait for my sons bus on McMillan and San Vito without touching McMillan
so the census they did is inaccurate we only care about San Vito Rd where the new apartments will be connecting to
creating more traffic for our neighborhood. The census was also incorrect because of the schools that service this
neighborhood like Owyhee a bus only school, Gem Prep North Meridian Charter, Compass Meridian Charter, Star Middle
School and several others that were not mentioned. Our bud has deemed San Vito and McMillan unsafe because too
many cars do not stop they moved it to the walk way right by our house. Every year this happens. The census took
account for the current walking traffic but we’ve learned not to cross the road there due to almost getting hit several
times and not taking chances nearly all the parents drive there kids across the road. If there was a crosswalk especially
since there is a school that would help some issues but not all especially if you were to put an apt complex there.
Walmart has more than enough people coming to and from on that side with access to both meridian and ten mile. The
apartment should not have to have access to San Vito there should be another way to not connect it to our street.
Please do a census on San Vito Rd and the effected route you are adding the street access too. Thank you for reading
this. I was unable to sell my home this last year due to the increased traffic on McMillan and road noise. Adding
apartment noise and more traffic won’t help the situation in an already apartment inflated market with no need for
luxury apartments in our area as there is already 400+ vacant apartments within a 4 mile radius of newly built
apartments. If you do pass the build please don’t let them build and delay the permit for a minimum of 1 yr from now
due to the lack of need for the available apartments. Thank you.
Much Appreciated
