Hello,
I just wanted to express my disapproval of these apartments going in at this time. We need to have the proper road
study done and McMillian needs to be widened before we add more apartments or large home developments. Alpha
Dev is using an ACHD road study from 5 years ago. There has been huge growth in Ada county in the last 5 years. I tried
to contact ACHD to see how to get an updated road study done and I never heard back.
There is huge safety concerns of kids crossing McMillan road. We need to be proactive and not reactive here. There is
already more homes that are under construction and we have not seen the impact of those homes in traffic or at
schools. Pleasant View Elementary is already over capacity. My first grader has 29 kids in his class. There is no room to
bring in portables and they have tried for 3 months to hire a new first grade teacher to reduce the overcrowding. There
are no elementary sites planned or under construction in this area. We need to stop approving projects with no plan to
handle this growth in schools or roads.
Please, wait until we solve school overcrowding and update roadways BEFORE approving this project.
