Provide a fIre-flow as required by the 1997 Uniform Fire Code Appendix III-A. Please show all proximily hydrants within 500' of the project on the resubmitted plat 2.. All entrances and internal roads shall comers with a minimum of a 28' inside radius and 48' . outside radius: 3. The proposed buildings & uses shall comply with the 1997 Uniform Fire Code. 4. . Acceptance of water supply for fIre protection is contingent upon acceptance of the water system by theCily of Meridian for water qualily. 5. Final approval offIre hydrant locations shall by the Fire Department 6. The roadways shall be built to Ada Counly Highway Standards and shall have a clear driving surface which is 20' wide. UFC 902.2.1 7. Provide an approved tnrn around for any street, which exceeds 150' in length as a result of the phasing of the project. 8. The proposed 192 unit subdivision will have an unknown transient population and will have an undetermined impact Meridian Fire Department call volumes. According to a report completed by Fire & Emergency Services Consulting Group in February of 2000 our requests for service are projected to reach 2800 in the year 2005 and 3800 by the year 2010, this is up from 2069 responses in the year 2000. 9. Idaho Ave. Meridian, ill 83642 Weare writing this letter of concern about some of the changes planned for the Fairview Lakes development of the vacant lot at 824 East Fairview. We are unable to attend the public hearing scheduled for August 15,2002. So we hope you will take into consideration our letter of thoughts and concerns. Wall between the Vark and the businesses on Fairview: We reside at 1020 Tammy. Our property faceS Fairview. Al.:ross !he.street, on TammY, ist~e subdivision's park. It would abut the business area. This park hosts soccer games, picnics, and family activities. Wefeel the park would be impacted if the developer does not erect an east-west wall between the park and the businesses on F airview. A landscape buffer is not adequate to keep foot traffic, bicycles, etc. from using the park as a gateway to the businesses. Access to Teare Street: Originally, the developer said there would be no access to Teare Street from the development. 'fhedeveloper said access tathe ltpl1llulcntS would be through a new street, perpendicular to Fairview, going through the business area. A stoplight would be on this street at Fairview. He said Teare would be blocked off, with emergency barriers that could be knocked down, if needed, by fire trucks, etc. However, in his newest plan, traffic would increase immensely if Teare is used for access to the businesses and apartments. Increased traffic would affect Teare and all connecting streets. Students: Chief Joseph Elementary is once again at capacity for student enrollment. Where will the children of 400 new residents go to school? This property is not an appropriate place for such a dense population. Perhaps the developer would consider duplexes, or single-family homes? We do support the development of the property. However, these areas of impacts should be considered seriously before proceeding.
