Sheet Notes:
1. ALL TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES SHALL CONFORM TO THE LATEST EDITION OF THE MANUAL ON UNIFORM TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES (MUTCD).
2. REFER TO ACHD STANDARD TRAFFIC DETAILS (TS SERIES) FOR CONSTRUCTION DETAILS AND INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS.
3. THE LOCATIONS OF SIGNAL POLES, JUNCTION BOXES AND PEDESTRIAN POLES SHALL BE STAKED IN THE FIELD FOR APPROVAL BY ACHD PRIOR TO INSTALLATION.
REQUEST ACHD APPROVAL AT LEAST TWO (2) WORKING DAYS PRIOR TO INSTALLATION.
4. CONDUIT LAYOUT SHOWN IS SCHEMATIC. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL MAINTAIN APPROPRIATE CLEARANCE BETWEEN ADJACENT UTILITIES.
5. GROUND THE SIGNAL AND ILLUMINATION SYSTEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CURRENT EDITION OF THE N.E.C. AND THE ACHD TRAFFIC SUPPLEMENTAL
PROVISIONS.
6. LOCATIONS OF EXISTING UNDERGROUND STRUCTURES AND UTILITIES SUCH AS PIPELINES, CONDUITS, CABLES, ETC. SHOWN ON THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL PLANS ARE
APPROXIMATE ONLY. IT IS NOT THE INTENT OF THESE PLANS SHOWN THE EXACT LOCATION OF ALL UNDERGROUND UTILITIES AND STRUCTURES. IT IS THE
RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO VERIFY THE LOCATIONS OF ALL EXISTING UTILITIES WITH THE RESPECTIVE OWNERS. EXISTING UTILITIES DAMAGED BY
THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE REPAIRED AT THE CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE.
7. ALL VIDEO DETECTION ZONES WILL BE SET BY ACHD STAFF. CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTACT ACHD TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT AT LEAST TWO (2) WORKING DAYS
PRIOR TO VIDEO DETECTION PROGRAMMING.
8. NEW SIGNAL AND SERVICE CABINETS AND ALL ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT TO BE SUPPLIED BY ACHD AT CONTRACTOR/DEVELOPER EXPENSE. CONTRACTOR SHALL
CONTACT ACHD TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT TO COORDINATE THE SALVAGING, DISPOSAL, AND/OR TRANSFER OF ANY SIGNAL OR INTERCONNECT EQUIPMENT.
9. TOP OF FOUNDATION ELEVATIONS FOR ALL POLES SHALL BE FIELD VERIFIED BY THE CONTRACTOR BASED ON THE CONSTRUCTED FINISHED GROUND ELEVATIONS.
10. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH IDAHO POWER AND SITE ELECTRICAL PLANS FOR SIGNAL POWER.
11. CONTRACTOR SHALL RETAIN AND PROTECT ALL EXISTING ACHD FIBER OPTIC UTILITIES, COORDINATE ALL CABINET FIBER WORK WITH ACHD. INTERRUPTION TO
ACHD FIBER OPTIC NETWORK SHALL ONLY BE PERMITTED AS WEEKEND WORK. DISRUPTION SHALL OCCUR NO EARLIER THAN FRIDAY AT 10PM AND SHALL BE
RETURNED TO SERVICE NO LATER THAN MONDAY AT 5AM. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE A MINIMUM OF TWO (2) WEEKS NOTICE PRIOR TO THE START OF
ANY WORK THAT MAY IMPACT ACHD's NETWORK FOR REVIEW. DEPENDING ON THE IMPACT TO THE DISTRICT OR PARTNERING AGENCIES, ACHD RESERVES THE

COORDINATE CABINET WORK WITH ACHD SIGNAL INSPECTOR.
8. REMOVE AND SALVAGE EXISTING SIGNAL CABINET AND SERVICE PEDESTAL TO ACHD, INSTALL NEW EQUIPMENT PER PLAN.
