Tom Walsh For building permit submittal, please indicate if fire sprinklers
and/or fire alarm systems are being provided. Include a
summary of the ages for the various classrooms for the
facility as this information affects egress requirements.
Provide an egress plan for the facility, including all fenced
exterior play areas, indicating the egress hardware for all
exits, including exit gates for these play areas.
If fire sprinklered, the fire riser room needs to be located in a
one hour fire -rated room with an exterior door. The FDC
(Fire Dept. Connection) needs to be within 100 ft. to a fire
hydrant.

Planning Review Notes Kyle Radek Proposal for Daycare Center in C-G district requires a
Conditional Use Permit (CUP) that goes before the P&Z
Commission.
- Staff supports proposed use in this location so long as site
circulation provides for safe pick-up and drop-off of children.
- Please review site circulation to ensure proposed use
functions safely with either style of pick-up/drop-off (i.e.
parents parking and signing children in and out OR parents
merely dropping them off via a stop -and -go method.
- Ensure compliance with specific use standards for
proposed use (UDC 11-4-3-9).
- Ensure compliance with parking lot landscaping standards
(UDC 11-3B-8).
- Refer to UDC Table11-3C-5 for parking stall and drive aisle
dimensions for future circulation design to ensure
compliance.
- Please send any revised site plan to Planning and Fire
prior to submittal to verify if a new pre-app is necessary.
