Re: Execution of Contract with DC Engineering
The attached contract with DC Engineering for installation and programming of remote
terminal units at 8 pressure reducing valves was approved for signature at the January 17
City Council Meeting.
I have attached the original document and a copy that has the correct signature block copied
on to it. The intent is to have the mayor sign the copy, unless the signature block on the
original is acceptable or can be modified~.
Please have the document signed and return to me or call me at 898-5500 if the document I
signature block is not acceptable.

Mr. Grady,
Thank you very much for the opportunity to propose on the PRY SCADA installation and
prograrrnning for the City of Meridian Water Dept The following is our proposed Scope of Service
based on the information that you have provided to us and the site visits with Custom Eiectric.
Project Understanding
We understand that this project will mclude the installation and W onderware programming of the
RTUs at 8 PRV locations. The PRY at 41ocations have an existing non-operational RTU and the other
4 will require a new RTU and programming.
Electrical Engineering
· Determine the Electrical Service requirements.
· Coordinate the power facilitation with !pea for all 8 RTU locations.
· Develop installation drawings for required locations includ.ing specification of electrical
equipment
· Coordinate with Custom Electric for the installation of a new RTU at 4 locations.
· Co.mplete the .programming at all locations. &fi!
Deliverables
· 90% review documents
· Construction documents incorporating review comments.
Schedule
· DC Engineering has a capable staff that can start immediately. It is anticipated to take
approximately 2 weeks to develop 90% review documents once authorization to proceed has
been given.
Excluded
· All cost associated with and installation of electrical equipment

Fee
The project will be performed on time and material basis not to exceed $4,950 (Four Thousand Nine
Hundred Fifty Dollars).
Services will be billed per our standard rate of compensation as follows:
· Principal Engineer, PE: $95 per hour
· Project Manager: $90 per hour
· Engineer: $80 per ho~
· Designer: $70 per hour
· Drafting: $50 per hour
· Clerical: $35 per hour
· Reimbursable expenses will be billed at cost plus 10 percent. (For example: reproduction
drawings, shipping expenses, etcetera.) 1 ~
