Design Narrative
As the City of Meridian continues to grow and develop new businesses
come to the local neighborhoods welcoming both new and old community
members. The Glenn Mabey Saloon with join the new businesses in the area by
providing a new eating establishment and local hub for families, friends and
acquaintances to gather.
The new Saloon will be located in the existing shell of the previous 127 club
located at 127 Idaho Ave. The existing building has previously gone though
interior demolition and now sits as a empty shell. The Glenn Mabey Saloon plans
to bring this empty shell to life with a new exterior fagade and interior build out.
The Glenn Maybe Saloon will have a exterior covered patio, full service bar, full
service kitchen and everything in between to help guests feel welcome and
enjoy the atmosphere the new eating establishment will provide fore the
neighborhood.
The new fagade of the building is going to keep the original western feel of the
building with a bit of a modern take. The original fagade has been built over the
top of with the current fagade we see today. The updates will include removing
the current fagade and bring back to life the original building's stone, and glass
features in addition to some modern updates. Below shows the current fagade
of the building, with a rendering of the new design adjacent. The facade
update has been awarded the City of Meridians Facade Grant. The owner and
design team are excited to bring a piece of meridian back to life. We believe it
will be a perfect addition to the up and coming developments in the
surrounding area!
