I am a resident of Bridgetower West Subdivision and I am against having an apartment complex built next to Walmart
off McMillian road in or by our subdivision.
We chose to build our house in this location based on many factors and one was the high end builders and what we
thought and was told was going to be a higher upper end subdivision with high quality homes and good resale value. We
were also told what the future of the subdivision was going to look like based upon the developers vision. One year into
living in our new home many of the builders left and new builders came in which we found were not suitable for the
standards and vision we were told. The entrance into the subdivision was not built like we were told. We have one pool
and park area to what appears to be 600 plus homes.
We were told that the area they are wanting to build the apartment complex was going to be a farmers market. Now
they are wanting to put an apartment complex there! This will add to the already high traffic area since Costco and the
other stores and apartment complexes were built. Not to mention the fact that the value of our homes will go down!
Once again I will restate that we chose to build where we did based upon that this was a step up from our old residence
(from what we were told from the builder). We were thinking about our future. I am not for an apartment complex
being in my neighborhood. If it is approved we will consider moving once again.
